Job summary

Deloitte Dublin/UK-based team is seeking an AWS Platform Engineer to design, build, and optimize AWS solutions for diverse client engagements. Qualifications

• Strong experience in IT infrastructure, cloud engineering or cloud architecture.
• Hands-on delivery across AWS services and platforms.
• In-depth knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Clear communication with clients and delivery teams.
• Mentoring and guiding junior engineers on projects.

Responsibilities

• As an AWS Platform Engineer, design and maintain secure, high-quality AWS solutions and delivery pipelines.
• Translate client requirements into scalable technical designs with senior architects.
• Provide technical input during design reviews and delivery planning.
• Write clean, well-tested code and promote engineering best practices.
• Design and automate CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.
• Optimize AWS workloads for performance, cost, security and reliability.
• Troubleshoot live services and resolve complex production issues.
• Mentor less-experienced engineers and share knowledge across teams.
• Stay current with AWS services (e.g., Bedrock, Q Business) and innovations.
