Job summary

MITRE Mission Computing invites you to join a junior cloud support role supporting an AWS-based platform used by MITRE’s national security and research programs. You will help keep platforms reliable and secure while guiding internal customers on adoption and best practices.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in software/computer science, at least two years of related experience, hands-on IaC with Terraform/Ansible, GitOps, and CI/CD pipelines, and is eligible for Secret clearance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Typically requires 2 years of related experience.
• Experience with AWS and Infrastructure as Code tools.
• Eligible for Secret clearance within 1 year; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to an AWS-based platform that powers internal tools across MITRE’s national security work.
• Help maintain reliability and security of the platform and guide internal teams on usage.
• Collaborate in a small team to deliver scalable solutions and improve platform capabilities.
• Support operations and internal customer needs in a high-stakes environment.
