Job summary

Stellent IT LLC is seeking a Full Stack AWS Java developer for a backend-heavy role based in Reston, VA. The position involves design, development, testing, and debugging of complex applications, with significant backend focus (about 70%).

The candidate will work with AWS, Java 21, Angular, Spring/Spring Boot, and Aurora PostgreSQL, including moving apps from on-prem to AWS and implementing test automation and CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science required.
• 5 years of software development experience including architecture/design and requirements definition.
• Experience moving applications from on-prem to AWS preferred.
• Strong Java, AWS, and Spring Boot experience with enterprise-scale systems.
• Knowledge of cloud and database technologies (AWS, Aurora PostgreSQL).
• Experience with test automation and CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and debug complex software applications.
• Serve as SME in customer and internal discussions for existing systems.
• Develop interface design documentation and ensure adherence to standards.
• Lead and mentor junior engineers and contribute to roadmap discussions.
