Job summary

Infosys Limited, a global leader in next-generation digital services, is seeking a Technology Consultant 2 in Reston, VA. You will contribute to requirements elicitation, guide design discussions, and participate in coding and integration to deliver stable software solutions.

You will develop data engineering solutions using Informatica PowerCenter/IDMC, AWS, and Python, build scalable data warehouses, and drive automation with Lambda, Step Functions, and CI/CD pipelines while collaborating

Qualifications

• Experience in data engineering or ETL development with hands-on data integration
• Experience with Informatica PowerCenter and IDMC in enterprise data projects
• Strong AWS skill set including EMR, ECS, Glue, Redshift, S3 and monitoring services
• Proven ability to write clean, efficient Python code and build scalable data pipelines

Responsibilities

• Contribute to requirements elicitation by documenting parts of business requirements
• Guide design decisions for software solutions and coordinate with the technical team

• Conduct code reviews, manage changes in code repositories and ensure quality

In the assigned Job Role of Technology Consultant 2, your Area Of Responsibility will be as below:

• Contribute to the requirements elicitation process by documenting assigned parts of business requirements, in line with guidance provided
• Facilitate software application design discussions, and document design decisions to guide the technical team towards building software solutions
• Participate in coding and integrate new features or updates into existing applications, with a focus on maintaining system stability
• Conduct code reviews, do changes to the codebase and maintain code repositories
• Implement test strategies, analyse results, and coordinate bug fixes to uphold the software quality standards
• Develop user training programs, documentation, and support frameworks to ensure a smooth transition to new software applications
• Actively participate in resolving production issues and recommend preventive strategies to enhance system reliability
• Maintain detailed records of code, testing techniques, and support activities to enrich the knowledge base and assist other similar projects

Required Skill and Experience

• Experience in data engineering or ETL development, with deep expertise in Informatica PowerCenter.
• Experience in Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC).
• Experience in PowerCenter to IDMC migration is a plus.
• Proven experience in AWS cloud services, including EMR, ECS, Glue, Redshift, SNS, SQS, Lambda, CloudWatch, and S3.
• Strong proficiency in Python for data processing and automation.
• Experience supporting Data Warehouse environments and large-scale data pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with Docker for containerized development and deployment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and strong verbal & written communication.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Design, build and maintains scalable data warehouse and reporting applications by developing robust data processing solutions.
• Design and implement distributed, event-driven architectures using AWS services - ECS, Event Bridge, RDS, Redshift, Redshift Spectrum, S3, EC2
• Experience in writing efficient, maintainable code and implementing ETL data pipelines.
• Experience with Informatica PowerCenter & Informatica power exchange
• Maintain end-to-end scalable web and cloud-based applications.
• Drive automation and orchestration using Lambda, Step Functions, and CI/CD pipelines.

Preferred Skill and Experience

• Experience in Apache Spark
• Experience with Instabase
• Experience in optimizing data-driven applications using Java/Python.

Additional Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.

The estimated annual compensation for this role in Reston, Virginia, will be $81447 to $105881.
