Job summary

Accounting and Auditing Services is seeking a skilled AWS Developer Contractor to provide Level 1 and Level 2 production support for a real-time AWS-based integration layer connecting Workforce Management Engine, Salesforce, and external vendor systems.

The role requires troubleshooting REST APIs, API Gateway, and batch/file-based integrations, monitoring AWS services such as S3, Lambda, Step Functions, and CloudWatch, and maintaining runbooks and integration catalogs to ensure reliability.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an AWS Developer or Cloud Support Engineer with production support.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS services (S3, Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, CloudWatch).
  • Experience troubleshooting REST APIs and cloud-based integrations (API Gateway, etc.).
  • Familiarity with SFTP/PGP, encryption protocols, and batch processing systems.
  • Hands-on with CloudWatch Logs Insights for log analysis and incident triage.
  • Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills.
  • Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Developer or Solutions Architect are a plus.

About The Role

We are seeking a skilled AWS Developer Contractor to join our dynamic team. This role involves providing Level 1 and Level 2 production support for our AWS-based integration layer that connects Workforce Management Engine (WME) and Salesforce with external vendor systems. The ideal candidate will have experience working with real-time API and scheduled batch/file-based integrations, ensuring seamless data flow and system reliability. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work on complex cloud-based integration projects, troubleshoot technical issues, and contribute to the stability and efficiency of our enterprise systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining our AWS infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance of our integration services.


Qualifications


  • Proven experience as an AWS Developer, Cloud Support Engineer, or similar role, preferably with a focus on production support.

  • Strong knowledge of AWS services including S3, Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, and CloudWatch.

  • Experience with troubleshooting REST APIs, API Gateway, and related cloud-based integrations.

  • Familiarity with SFTP/PGP, encryption protocols, and batch processing systems.

  • Hands-on experience with CloudWatch Logs Insights for log analysis and incident triage.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.

  • Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Developer or Solutions Architect are a plus.


Responsibilities


  • Monitor AWS CloudWatch and Step Function statuses across all API and batch integrations to ensure system health and performance.

  • Triaging and resolving incidents within defined SLA parameters, escalating systemic issues as necessary.

  • Troubleshoot API failures related to validation, timeout, or authentication issues using CloudWatch Logs Insights.

  • Address batch processing failures, including missed windows, encryption issues, and data quality rejects, coordinating reprocessing and backfill activities.

  • Fulfill integration service requests such as new setup configurations, updates to existing mappings, and system modifications.

  • Maintain comprehensive runbooks, documentation, and an up-to-date integration catalog to facilitate ongoing support and troubleshooting.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement improvements to the integration infrastructure and processes.

  • Stay current with AWS best practices and emerging technologies to enhance system reliability and security.
