Job description

Location: Erie, PA (Day 1 Complete Onsite)

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience overall, with the last 4 years in designing and implementing cloud-native data solutions for modern data warehouses, BI, insights, and analytics.
• Architectural and implementation experience in end-to-end modern data solutions on AWS, using advanced processing frameworks such as Databricks.
• Strong knowledge of cloud-native data platform architectures, data engineering, and data management.
• Proficiency with popular database and data warehouse technologies, including Snowflake and AWS services.
• Demonstrated understanding of data warehouse concepts and cloud-native, columnar database architectures.
• Ability to collaborate with Data Engineering, Data Management, BI, and Analytics teams within complex development environments.
• Experience with processing substrates such as ETL tools, Confluent Kafka, and ELT techniques.
• Exposure to various NoSQL data stores (key–value and document) and appliances, with the ability to discuss implementation constraints and performance challenges.
• Preferable: experience implementing analytic models using AWS SageMaker for production workloads.
• Knowledge of Data Mesh and Data Product design and implementation is an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage customers to envision and build creative modern data solutions—cloud-native data platforms, BI, and analytics—to differentiate their businesses.
• Collaborate with customer stakeholders, IT leadership, and architectural leaders to develop modern data platform and architecture solutions using AWS.
• Develop technology roadmaps and best practices, including detailed architecture design, data modeling, and implementation plans for modern data platforms and analytics use cases across maturity levels.
• Lead strategy sessions focused on data and analytics maturity, addressing business requirements related to performance, scalability, flexibility, and cost.
• Provide insights into modern data and analytics technologies and emerging use cases in business intelligence and predictive analytics.
• Lead design, prototyping, and delivery of software solutions within the cloud data ecosystem to create new capabilities for the customer’s business (P&C Insurance).
• Lead conversations about modern data solutions as a technology expert, guiding customers to view modern data as an organizational enabler for data-driven decision-making.
• Assess customers’ AWS knowledge and overall cloud readiness, develop structured learning plans, and ensure their delivery.
