Job summary

Applied Technical Services, LLC (ATS) is hiring for a full-time AWS-CWI with piping and/or AWS D1.1 experience to join our Oak Ridge, TN team. Local candidates or those willing to relocate are encouraged to apply; relocation assistance may be available.

The role performs material examinations per procedures, codes, standards, and specifications, while mentoring trainees and coordinating with department managers and clients to determine scope and priorities.

Qualifications

• AWS-CWI with piping and/or AWS D1.1 experience (5+ years as a CWI).
• Additional NDT certs are a plus but not required.
• Working knowledge of industrial environments and manufacturing processes; ability to report issues and solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Perform examinations of materials per procedures, codes, standards, and specifications.
• Be familiar with scope and limitations; supervise trainees and provide guidance.
• Interface with managers and clients to determine scope and work priorities.
• Prepare written instructions and organize/report results of examinations.
• Work independently and support team members; perform other tasks as assigned.
