Job summary

Systems Engineering Solutions Corporation seeks an AWS Cloud Systems Engineer to support Air Force Cloud One Architecture. The role is hybrid remote; onsite as needed near Hanscom AFB or Huntsville. Responsibilities span design, development, and security across cloud-native solutions, with a hands-on, mentoring approach.

The ideal candidate has 12+ years of experience, a secret clearance, and USA citizenship. Certifications in Security+ or equivalent are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of experience; Masters with 10+ years acceptable in lieu
• Secret clearance required; US citizenship required
• Certifications: CompTIA Security+ or equivalent (IAT-2)

Responsibilities

• Perform cloud operations and engineering tasks to sustain scalable, resilient, and secure AWS cloud solutions.
• Adopt and utilize DevSecOps practices, infrastructure as code, and automation frameworks
• Design, implement and sustain secure cloud architectures and networks implementing zero-trust principles and defense-in-depth strategies
• Maintain compliance with industry standards (SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, etc.) and regulatory requirements
• Architect, implement and maintain cloud networking security controls including STIG requirements
• Configure and troubleshoot cloud, virtual, and physical hardware and software systems
• Establish and maintain SQL and NoSQL databases, ensuring performance and reliability
• Support development of migration methodologies with minimal disruption
• Utilize CI/CD workflows and IaC development using Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, Jira, Confluence, Artifactory, and Guacamole
• Containerize applications to enhance scalability and deployment efficiency
• Work in cross-functional teams including development, operations, security, and product management

This role supports the U.S. Air Force Cloud One Architecture and Common Shared Services contract and currently has an opening for an AWS Cloud Systems Engineer.

Location: This position will be hybrid remote. Candidates will be required to work onsite as needed. Candidates need to be located near Hanscom AFB (Boston, MA) or Huntsville, AL.

We are seekinganAWSCloudSystems Engineerwithexpertisein multiple cloud platforms.A successfulindividual willbe responsible fordeveloping in ascalable cloud-native solutions, and ensuring best practices across architecture, development, deployment, and securityfrom design, test, integration,production,sustainmentand maintenance.This is a hands-on technical role that requires rolling up your sleeves to architect, code, debug, and mentor.

Required Skills:

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with USAF Cloud One or Platform 1
• Knowledge ofZero Trust Architecture. Experience a plus.
• Capable ofworking inhigh poweredteams andmaintainingpositiveinterpersonalrelationships while deliveringproducts and services to the customer
• Understanding Active Directory,AWSAD, SAML and the standards, procedures, and processes
• Experience with Ansible, AWS console, Elastic, AWS, Jira, Confluence, Git, Bitbucket and various cloud Software as aService (SaaS) offeringsto conduct DEV/SEC/OPS pipeline development activities
• Administration experience with cloud-based applications (MS O365, SharePoint,AWSAD, AWS)
• Experience administering Windows Server, and related services
• Cloud certifications in AWS, Azure, Google, or Oracle clouds
