Job summary

Randstad Digital in Washington, DC is seeking a Cloud Security Operations Analyst/Engineer to monitor and enhance cloud security postures across AWS, ensuring ongoing compliance with baselines and standards. You will collaborate with senior security engineers to remediate vulnerabilities, manage IAM, and respond to alerts.

The role involves automation work using Terraform and CloudFormation across core AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, Lambda) and requires strong scripting in Python, PowerShell

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in IT spanning architecture, infrastructure, networking, OS, and databases.
• 3 years of hands-on cloud infrastructure experience with AWS security tools.
• Knowledge of networking concepts and scripting in Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to work independently and in teams.

Responsibilities

• Security Monitoring & Incident Response: monitor, analyze, and respond to alerts from AWS services and SIEM tools; assist investigations.
• IAM & Access Management: daily IAM administration, including users, roles, and policies with least-privilege approach.
• Vulnerability & Compliance Management: remediation activities from AWS Inspector; manage AWS Config rules and security baselines; assist audits.
• Security Operations & Control: implement AWS security controls; maintain security documentation and patching routines.
• Infrastructure Support: assist with Terraform/CloudFormation deployments across core AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, Lambda).
