Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an AWS Cloud Ops Engineer to monitor, operate, and support AWS infrastructure across environments. You will perform daily health checks, enhance monitoring with CloudWatch and Dynatrace, and investigate outages or performance issues to ensure production reliability.

Responsibilities include managing EBS snapshots and backups, VPC logs, DNS and firewall coordination, and executing runbooks for deployments, while maintaining comprehensive documentation.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years IT infrastructure, cloud operations, production support, or systems engineering.
  • 3+ years hands-on AWS operations in enterprise environments preferred.
  • Experience with production AWS workloads, monitoring, incident response, and runbooks.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and on-call readiness.
  • Preferred AWS certs: SysOps, Solutions Architect, Cloud Practitioner; ITIL/Dynatrace.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily AWS cloud infrastructure health checks and readiness verification.
  • Configure CloudWatch and Dynatrace dashboards, alarms, and notification workflows.
  • Investigate outages, performance issues, and infrastructure anomalies.
  • Manage EBS snapshots, backups, and operational reporting for EC2/RDS.
  • Handle VPC Flow Logs, DNS zones, firewall changes, and access policies.
  • Support deployments by executing approved runbooks and coordinating downtime.
  • Maintain infrastructure documentation and assist TriZetto Facets installation.
