Job summary

IBM Consulting UK FutureNow is seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Full Stack Engineer to design, build, and support secure, cloud-native solutions for public sector and defence clients. You will work across modern front-end frameworks and robust backend services, with a strong emphasis on AWS architecture, security, and DevOps.

Role requires active BPSS or equivalent clearance and may involve delivery centers across global clients.

Qualifications

• Must have deep experience in full-stack application engineering on AWS
• Strong frontend experience (React, Angular, or Vue.js) for high-performance interfaces
• Backend proficiency (Node.js, Java, Python, or .NET) and secure server-side services
• Extensive experience with AWS services (Lambda, ECS, S3, API Gateway, DynamoDB, RDS) and IaC tools CloudFormation/Terraform
• Proven RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems architectures
• DevOps experience with Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of cloud security best practices and high-availability patterns
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills
• Security screening requirements including BPSS/NVS eligibility

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and support secure, scalable cloud apps on AWS for public sector and defence clients
• Develop full-stack solutions with modern frontend and backend technologies
• Architect and implement RESTful APIs and microservices for distributed systems
• Apply DevOps practices, CI/CD, containerization, and IaC tooling
• Mentor and lead AWS/Full-stack engineering teams
• Stay up-to-date with AWS technologies and engineering best practices
