Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Health System is seeking an AWS Cloud Engineer II to join the ITD Infrastructure Administration team. The role focuses on engineering, governance, and security of AWS infrastructure to enable hybrid-cloud modernization for enterprise workloads.

You will collaborate with Cloud Architects and other engineers, implement IaC, and optimize cloud performance and costs while maintaining enterprise standards. This remote role supports the enterprise from Ohio with limited travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline.
• Five years of experience working in computer systems and infrastructure.
• Two years of experience specializing in cloud engineering with knowledge of at least one cloud platform.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Cloud Center of Excellence to implement cloud solutions aligned with organizational goals.
• Architect, implement, and manage AWS-based infrastructure and cloud solutions.
• Design, implement, and manage cloud systems for performance, security, availability, and reliability.
• Manage AWS services, including EC2, VPC, storage, networking and other cloud infrastructure services.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code and automation using IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
• Monitor cloud environments, analyze cost and performance metrics, and resolve issues.
• Maintain enterprise security and governance standards across AWS environments.
