Job summary

CGS Federal is seeking a Cloud Engineer (AWS) to support documentation, engineering, security, and operations processes for a large federal agency. The role emphasizes cloud SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS fundamentals and secure, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years supporting federal government agencies in IT roles.
• 4–7 years designing, implementing, or supporting highly distributed applications with strong architectural skills.
• Hands-on AWS experience (required) or other cloud services with architectural design experience.
• Experience designing/delivering large-scale solutions that reach production state.

Responsibilities

• Design solutions with flexibility, scalability, and security controls.
• Support development of documentation to support engineering, security, and operations.
• Perform business and technical analysis to aid customer decisions.
• Facilitate transition of solutions to operations and ensure ongoing production readiness.
