Job summary

Infosys seeks an Infrastructure Consultant 2 to collaborate with client and internal teams, resolving complex incidents, performing root cause analyses, and documenting preventive actions. The role includes evaluating IT infrastructure, drafting assessment reports, and supporting due diligence to identify maturity and improvement opportunities.

You will contribute to scalable, cost-effective infrastructure designs, review reusable components, and develop deployment documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent; will consider 3 years progressive experience in lieu of education
• Willingness to relocate and travel to work/project location

Responsibilities

• Resolve complex incidents, conduct root cause analyses, and document preventive recommendations
• Assess client IT infrastructure, prepare actionable assessment reports, and support due diligence to document maturity and improvement opportunities
• Design scalable, cost-effective IT infrastructure solutions and document deployed systems
• Coordinate deployments, perform post-deployment testing, and manage version control
• Coordinate maintenance schedules, emergency fixes, and technology upgrades while ensuring uninterrupted integration
• Perform capacity planning and data analysis to optimize performance across systems
• Conduct security checks, recovery drills, and compliance audits to maintain standards
• Identify automation opportunities and propose efficiency improvements for infrastructure processes
• Liaise with onsite, offshore, and vendor teams to document project requirements
• Develop a centralized repository of knowledge from insights across projects

Job description

In the assigned Job Role of Infrastructure Consultant 2, your Area Of Responsibility will be as below:

• Collaborate with internal and client teams to resolve complex incidents, conduct root cause analyses, and document findings with preventive recommendations
• Participate in evaluation of client IT infrastructure, prepare actionable assessment reports, and support due diligence to document infrastructure maturity and improvement opportunities
• Contribute to the design of scalable, cost-effective IT infrastructure solutions, review reusable components, and develop technical documentation for deployed systems
• Align release schedules and environment readiness, execute deployments as per protocols, perform post-deployment testing, and manage version control to track changes
• Co-ordinate maintenance schedules, emergency fixes, and technology upgrades while ensuring uninterrupted integration into existing systems and processes
• Facilitate performance data analysis across systems, coordinate insights on system behavior, and support capacity planning to optimize performance
• Conduct security checks, recovery drills, and compliance audits, implement security measures, and coordinate continuity plans to maintain adherence to standards
• Gather feedback to identify automation opportunities, analyze existing infrastructure processes, and propose enhancements for efficiency gains
• Act as liaison with onsite, offshore, and vendor teams to document project requirements, ensuring effective collaboration
• Develop a centralized repository of technical and procedural knowledge, leveraging insights from other projects to drive efficiency and retain organizational expertise

Required Skills :

• Experience with Apache Airflow Administration & Platform Engineering (Infra)
• Experience with AWS Cloud, Data base and Data Pipeline Operation and Support.
• Experience with DevOps & Automation using Python/ Terraform
• Experience with AWS core services such as EC2, IAM, CloudWatch, Network
• Client facing role to manage Escalation and provide seamless OPS support.

Preferred Skills :

• Linux and Unix Scripting is good to have.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, and CloudFormation will be preferred.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, Grafana, Dynatrace, or CloudWatch.
• Familiarity with Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, and Cloud Platform Operations.
• Experience supporting production environments with stringent SLA requirements

Additional Required Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
