Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in AI system design, ML, NLP with Gen AI or Agentic AI exposure.
• Strong experience with AWS Bedrock and core services; performance tuning and deployment.
• Proven ability to design and drive large AI-focused architecture and enablement across teams.

Responsibilities

• Delivery ownership of assigned module.
• Guide the team with future architecture directions and technical leadership.
• Develop MVP user stories and reusable components / APIs.
• Support backlog creation, prioritization, and story mapping.
• Contribute to technical design and solutioning across tiers (Development, APIs, databases).
• Participate in paired programming and XP development; promote TDD and high-quality code.

AWS AI Engineer

Location: Remote or Hybrid if local to Charlotte, NC

Duration: 6 mos.

Job Description / Responsibilities

Key technology skill sets Gen AI, Agentic AI, AWS Bedrock, Python, Prompt Designing, Advanced RAG Architecture, LLM, Data Engineering, AI Model Performance Management

AWS Services: Amazon Bedrock, Agent Core Platform, AWS Strands, SageMaker, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, SQS/SNS, and other core AWS services like Redshift, Aurora Postgres, Glue, EMR, Lambda, Step Functions, CloudWatch

Generative AI Mastery: Practical exp with foundational models (e.g., Anthropic Claude, Stability AI, Llama variants), including Spec Driven Dev (SDD), prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and safety mechanisms.

Programming Skills: Advanced proficiency in Python and its data science stack (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow).

Vector & Database Systems: Familiarity with vector databases or RDS Vector Store for RAG implementations.

Agentic Frameworks: Proven experience with orchestration tools like LangChain and LlamaIndex for building autonomous agents.

Delivery ownership of assigned module

Ability to understand the future Architecture and guide the team with require technical direction

10+ years of exp in AI system design, ML, NLP with 1-2 years in Gen AI or Agentic AI (preferably 12-15 yrs)

Develop MVP User Stories (Re-usable components/ API's etc)

Support backlog creation, prioritization, and Story mapping

Support in technical design and solutioning

Ability to work across tiers Development, APIs, databases

Ability to utilize DevOps CI/CD pipeline, create/configure build and deploy jobs

Experience working in XP and pair programming model and understands and performs TDD

Responsible for assigned task delivery and quality and knowledge transfer through daily pairing

Motivated and energetic engineers who are passionate about software modernization

Must be able to clearly communicate with team members and leadership

Participate in paired programming and XP development

Strong ability to work independently when required

Turn complex ideas into manageable pieces of work

Hands‑on, Individual contribution and Mentor other developers in team

Support team members on troubleshooting
