Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Data Architect with deep AWS data and AI expertise to shape an enterprise data platform. You will act as a subject matter expert across traditional data architecture and emerging AI capabilities within AWS, designing scalable data platforms and modern cloud solutions that leverage Bedrock, Glue, S3, Redshift, Lake Formation, and SageMaker.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Data Architecture, Solution Architecture, or Data Engineering.
• Expert-level experience with AWS Cloud Services.
• Experience building or deploying AI Agents and Agentic AI solutions within AWS capabilities.
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing enterprise data lakes and modern cloud data platforms.
• Strong SQL and data modeling experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve enterprise data architectures utilizing AWS cloud services.
• Build and optimize data lakes, data warehouses, and data consumption layers.
• Architect solutions for data ingestion, transformation, storage, governance, and access.
• Evaluate and implement AWS AI services including Amazon Bedrock and agent-based technologies.
• Lead architecture decisions around data movement, data integration, and system interoperability.
• Guide engineering teams on architecture standards and implementation approaches.

Insight Global is assisting a client in finding a Senior Data Architect with deep expertise in AWS data and AI services to help shape the future of their enterprise data platform. This individual will serve as a subject matter expert across traditional data architecture and emerging AI capabilities within AWS. The ideal candidate will have experience designing scalable data platforms, optimizing database environments, and architecting modern cloud solutions that leverage AWS services such as Bedrock, Glue, S3, Redshift, Lake Formation, and SageMaker This is a highly consultative role where you'll help the organization maximize the value of its data by building modern architectures that support AI, agent-based solutions, analytics, and business applications.

• Design and evolve enterprise data architectures utilizing AWS cloud services
• Build and optimize data lakes, data warehouses, and data consumption layers
• Architect solutions for data ingestion, transformation, storage, governance, and access
• Evaluate and implement AWS AI services including Amazon Bedrock and agent-based technologies
• Design and support AI-enabled applications that leverage enterprise data
• Lead architecture decisions around data movement, data integration, and system interoperability
• Provide expertise around database design, optimization, performance tuning, and scalability
• Establish best practices for data governance, security, and cloud architecture
• Partner with technical and business stakeholders to identify opportunities where AWS AI capabilities can solve business problems
• Guide engineering teams on architecture standards and implementation approaches

Additional Information

• Hybrid schedule: 2-3 days onsite per week
• Limited international travel (approximately 4 trips per year to Europe and India)

Skills and Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in Data Architecture, Solution Architecture, or Data Engineering
• Expert-level experience with AWS Cloud Services
• Experience building or deploying AI Agents and Agentic AI solutions within AWS capabilities
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing enterprise data lakes and modern cloud data platforms
• Strong understanding of AWS services including: S3, Glue, Redshift, Athena, Lake Formation, Lambda, Step Functions, SageMaker, Amazon Bedrock
• Experience architecting data ingestion, ETL/ELT, storage, and consumption frameworks
• Strong background in relational and distributed database design
• Experience with data migration and integrating data across multiple systems
• Expertise in database performance optimization, indexing, scalability, and governance
• Strong SQL and data modeling experience
• Experience implementing Amazon Bedrock solutions
• Experience designing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures
• Experience working with vector databases and embeddings
• Previous experience serving as an AWS SME, consultant, or cloud architecture lead
• AWS Solutions Architect Certification and/or AWS Data Analytics Certification
