Job summary

DLA Piper is seeking a Communications Specialist (Awards) to craft persuasive submissions that highlight the firm’s achievements. You will partner with lawyers and Communications, Marketing, and Business Development teams to tell compelling narratives aligned with award criteria.

You will manage timelines, conduct targeted research, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure submissions reflect the firm’s value and impact across practice areas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field.
• 5 years of experience in Marketing, Public relations or similar field.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough research of the awards being targeted, including criteria and previous winners.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather information highlighted in submissions.
• Write compelling narratives that showcase value and impact of work.
• Edit and refine submissions for clarity, coherence, and persuasiveness.
• Develop and manage timelines for submission deadlines, ensuring on-time delivery.
• Organize and maintain a database of potential awards, requirements, and deadlines.
• Build relationships with industry contacts to gather insights for successful submissions.
