Job summary

Open Sky Community Services is seeking an Awake Overnight Counselor to supervise and support individuals during overnight hours, assisting with morning routines and daily living activities. You will promote safety, health, and independence while advocating for community inclusion and strong ties to local resources.

The role requires crisis intervention, health protocol implementation, and coordination of transportation as needed.

The Awake Overnight Counselor provides guidance, supervision, and support during overnight hours while assisting individuals with morning routines and daily living activities. By implementing procedures that promote health, safety, well-being, and a clean and safe environment, counselors help ensure individuals are supported in living healthy, productive, and independent lives. Counselors are strong advocates for the people they serve, believe in the power of community, and recognize the importance of meaningful community inclusion and engagement.

Other Key Responsibilities

• Utilize crisis intervention techniques and follow established program and agency procedures to respond effectively during emergency or crisis situations.
• Implement individuals’ health, medical, and medication protocols in accordance with agency policies and applicable regulations.
• Assist individuals with accessing transportation and coordinating travel needs, as required.
• Review, complete, and maintain all required documentation in a timely and accurate manner.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent, required.
• Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record, required.
• Reliability, willingness to learn, and being open to new opportunities.
