Job summary

Perkins School for the Blind in Watertown, MA is seeking Awake Overnight staff to ensure the safety and wellbeing of students in residential settings. You will stay awake during shifts to monitor students, perform routine checks, and respond to emergencies.

Responsibilities include direct care, addressing medical and behavioral needs, and documenting incidents. Prior experience with special needs children and First Aid/CPR/CPR training is required; Sign Language may be needed depending on

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 1 year experience with special needs children or equivalent education/experience.
• Ability to complete and maintain First Aid, CPR, AED, CPPI, and Sign Language as program needs.

Responsibilities

• Awake overnight shift ensuring safety and wellbeing of students.
• Perform routine checks of students in residential programs.
