AVP, Risk Testing Lead

Job summary

Jobtailor in Alabama is seeking an experienced audit/testing professional to develop and execute control testing across key processes. You will document results, identify gaps, and work with management to implement remediation plans.

You will communicate findings to leadership and provide regular status updates. The role requires a minimum of 3 years in audit/testing or 7+ years in a financial institution, knowledge of banking regulations, and proficiency with SAS/Tableau.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of Audit, Testing, Quality or other Assurance function experience; in lieu of a degree, 7+ years of such experience in a financial institution
• 3+ years of experience in banking laws and regulations
• Experience applying analytical skills and attention to detail
• Knowledge of SAS and Tableau is a plus
• Ability and flexibility to travel for business as required
• Experience using AI to develop testing scripts is desired
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Experience using Synchrony’s systems of record, data warehouses, or applications for credit, deposit, and lease products
• Experience in Client Development & Sales
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
• Must be 18 years or older
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation, and submit fingerprints as part of onboarding
• Must satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required; employment visa sponsorship is not available
