SAFE FEDERAL CREDIT UNION is seeking an experienced executive to oversee the consumer lending function, advising on policy and program changes while ensuring an exceptional member experience across lending channels.
The role supervises the Consumer Lending Manager and Indirect Lending Representative, guiding sales, origination and underwriting. It requires 5+ years in progressive supervisory roles and strong communication with Senior Management.

SUMMARY: Oversees all aspects of the credit unions' consumer lending function. Recommends changes to consumer lending policy and procedures; suggests new products and programs and ensures an exceptional member experience through all consumer lending channels Responsible for direct supervision of the Consumer Lending Manager and Indirect Lending Representative. Responsible for the sales, origination, and underwriting of consumer loans throughout the credit union.
Supervises the Consumer Lending Manager and Indirect Lending Representative. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these positions. Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field from an accredited university preferred, plus a minimum of five (5) years experience of demonstrated successful progression within a comparable, senior level position, to include supervisory experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires the ability to lead and supervise others. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with others is essential.
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to employees, members, vendors, and others involved in the service delivery function.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations as well as occasional situations where only limited standardization exists.
