Job summary

SitusAMC Holdings Corporation is seeking a Senior Associate to oversee the Investor Reporting team responsible for complex CRE loan servicing deliverables. You will mentor junior staff and ensure timely, accurate product deliverables with limited supervision.

The role requires strong Excel skills, leadership and advanced communication with lenders, auditors and rating agencies. A dynamic, team-oriented environment is provided in Overland Park.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting, business or equivalent.
  • 6+ years of industry experience, with 1+ year in a Senior Associate role or external equivalent.
  • 5 years’ experience with CREFC Reporting.
  • 5 years’ experience in reconciliations and investor reporting.
  • Strong attention to detail and professionalism.
  • Experience with Excel, formulas and macros.

Responsibilities

  • Approve system generated reporting, queries and client deliverables for accuracy.
  • Manage written and oral communications with clients regarding servicing of CRE loans.
  • Ensure adherence to internal policies, quality standards and contracts.
  • Summarize research for lenders, audits, rating agencies and other stakeholders.
  • Design and build Excel templates and models to analyze loan metrics and cash flows.
  • Ensure compliance with servicing standards and loan documents.
  • Mentor junior staff and train new team members.
  • Monitor workflow and optimize resource utilization.
  • Stay updated on industry standards and participate in special projects.

This role leads the oversight of the assigned Investor Reporting team members who must complete complex, multifaceted assignments necessary for the proper servicing of our client’s portfolios of commercial real estate loans and is responsible for producing concurrent professional product deliverables in a consistent and timely fashion with limited management support. Also responsible for mentoring junior staff.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Approve system generated reporting, queries and related client deliverables for compliance, adherence, accuracy as determined by supporting information
  • Manage communication (both oral and written) with various internal and external clients regarding various questions (both routine and exceptions) related to the proper servicing of the client’s CRE loans
  • Ensure adherence to internal policies, quality standards, and management direction while meeting contractual deliverables to clients and other external parties
  • Summarize research, as needed, to comprehensively respond to inquiries from Lenders, Audit, Rating Agency and other authorized stakeholders
  • Design and build spreadsheet templates and/or financial models, including the coding of interrelated excel formulas, data tables and macros, to analyze the loan metrics, cash flows, amortization tables and similar debt or equity interest calculations, and, find and correct logic errors contained within
  • Ensure compliance against Servicing Standards, internal policies, and abstracted key dates, terms/requirements from various loan and servicing documents, while identifying and addressing those provisions that warrant exception processing
  • Demonstrate teamwork by maintaining a professional attitude, proactively assisting coworkers, as well as with special projects, and working overtime when necessary to meet client deadlines
  • Recommend process rationalization and efficiency initiatives affiliated with job responsibilities
  • Monitor workflow to ensure staff is adequately utilized
  • Train new team members
  • Periodically evaluate resources to ensure that specific goals and deadlines are achievable
  • Perform QC on completed product and communicate results to team members
  • Stay abreast of changes in industry standards
  • Other activities as may be assigned by your manager
Qualifications/ Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree; Preferred Field of Study: finance/accounting, business or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 6+ years of industry and/or relevant experience, typically with 1+ years in a Senior Associate level role or external equivalent.
  • 5 years’ experience with CREFC Reporting
  • 5 years’ experience in reconciliations, financial/investor reporting
  • High comfort level with use of various industry related software systems
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong leadership skills
  • High degree of professionalism
  • Experience with Excel, able to utilize multiple formulas and macros
  • Excellent written, verbal and electronic communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment, yet, express independent thought, with a consistent quality work product being produced
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet multiple deadlines with minimum supervision
  • Pro-active approach to problem recognition and resolution

The annual full time base salary range for this role is $85,000.00 - $100,000.00

Specific compensation is determined through interviews and a review of relevant education, experience, training, skills, geographic location and alignment with market data. Additionally, certain positions may be eligible to receive a discretionary bonus as determined by bonus program guidelines, position eligibility and SitusAMC Senior Management approval. SitusAMC offers PTO and paid holidays, the terms of which are set forth in the program policies. All full time employees also are eligible to participate in various benefit plans, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability insurance and 401K; in each case in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
