Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, information systems, or related field.
• Seven or more years in investment operations or related asset-management roles.
• Experience with complex/private/bespoke investments and translating terms to ops.
• Deep knowledge of investment ops and complex transaction structures.
• Strong understanding of the investment lifecycle: onboarding, settlement, reconciliations.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects with minimal oversight.
• Ability to influence decisions across functions and levels.
• Experience designing controls and operating procedures.
• Experience working with custodians, banks, and service providers.
• Knowledge of liability-driven investing and insurer accounting is a plus.
• Working knowledge of investment systems, data flows, interfaces, and testing.

Responsibilities

• Identify non-standard transactions with Front Office and portfolio managers.
• Review transaction documents to determine operational impact.
• Assess systems and processes for support and document gaps.
• Identify operational risks and establish ownership and actions.
• Influence stakeholders to define ownership and actions before execution.
• Coordinate onboarding and readiness activities across internal teams and service providers.
• Lead stabilization of new transactions and transition to BAU teams.
• Document procedures, controls, and escalation paths.
