Job summary

Moody's Investors Service is seeking a seasoned credit analyst to advance methodology development and collaborate across teams to ensure analytical robustness. The role focuses on leading Agile projects and coordinating with MDG and CSS groups to deliver rigorous rating methodologies.

Qualifications

  • 5-6 years of experience in credit analysis, preferably within Structured Finance.
  • Strong quantitative skills and analytical problem-solving ability.
  • Very good written and oral communication skills with logical, well-structured writing.
  • Ability to coordinate across diverse analytical viewpoints and work collaboratively across teams.
  • Highly organized, disciplined, and efficient in managing workflow and priorities.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in artificial intelligence concepts, with hands-on experience using AI tools to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Demonstrates a growing awareness of AI risk management and a commitment to responsible and ethical AI use.

  • Lead low and medium methodology development projects and collaborate across teams to ensure analytical robustness and transparency.
  • Lead projects using Agile principles to develop sector and cross-sector methodologies and assessment frameworks.
  • Collaborate with MMDG teams, other CSS teams and rating teams to ensure analytical robustness and transparency.
  • Author methodology documents that meet internal standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare submission packages for Methodology Review Group approval.
  • Assist with ad-hoc quantitative and analytical projects.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.

Skills and Competencies

About the Team

Our Methodology Development Group (MDG) team is responsible for creating and publishing rating methodologies used globally across all sectors and asset classes. By joining our team, you will contribute to developing robust analytical frameworks that support Moody’s Ratings’ commitment to transparency and consistency. We embrace innovation and responsible AI adoption to enhance methodology development and operational efficiency.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is$163,300.00-$236,800.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
