Share your support and help educate and empower individuals facing type 1 diabetes.

Our mission is to improve lives today and tomorrow by accelerating life changing breakthroughs to treat, prevent and ultimately, cure T1D and its complications. Always, we are guided by a single purpose: As we drive towards curing type 1 diabetes, we help make everyday life better for the people who face it.

The AVP, Corporate Partnerships is a senior leadership position responsible for managing and growing Breakthrough T1D's existing corporate partnership portfolio. This role oversees a team accountable for corporate partnerships outside the diabetes industry, diabetes industry partnerships, and the Ford Global Action Team (FGAT), together representing more than $15-20 million in annual revenue. The AVP, Corporate Partnerships serves as the organization's senior expert in account management, partnership benefit delivery, contract negotiation, and portfolio growth through renewals and upgrades.

Reporting to the VP, Corporate Engagement, this position partners closely with the AVP, Corporate Development on enterprise-wide pipeline strategy, ensuring seamless transition of new partners into long-term, high-value relationships. • Holds a personal portfolio of strategic accounts, directly managing relationships with senior corporate executives and serving as an escalation point for high-value or complex partnership negotiations.
  • Oversees the development and execution of strategic account plans for all national corporate partnerships, including executive relationship mapping, cross-sell and upsell strategies, multi-year agreement negotiation, and mission alignment positioning.
  • Guides and supports the Ford Global Action Team in managing Breakthrough T1D's most significant single-company partnership, ensuring the Ford relationship receives appropriate strategic investment, executive engagement, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Ensures all partnership contracts and letters of agreement are negotiated and executed in alignment with organizational priorities, working with legal and internal stakeholders to protect Breakthrough T1D's interests while maintaining strong partner relationships.
Pipeline And New Partner Integration
  • Collaborates with the AVP, Corporate Development to define pipeline transition criteria, ensuring new partners are onboarded into the account management structure with clear goals, account plans, and relationship continuity.
