Job Overview

The AVP owns the enterprise control plane for agentic technologies, non‑human identities, AI platforms, and emerging technologies. This leader is responsible for product strategy, governance, and operational controls that enable secure adoption of enterprise AI, autonomous systems, and future machine‑operated technologies. The platform serves teams building agents, copilots, model integrations, tools, data connections, and multi‑agent workflows. The role provides the foundational layer of identity, authorization, runtime controls, governance, and risk management that enables agent development teams to safely build and scale solutions across the enterprise. Cybersecurity and other control functions retain policy ownership and specialist responsibilities. The AVP owns the product decisions, capabilities, and operating model that make controls measurable, enforceable, and scalable.

Responsibilities
  • Own the enterprise control framework for AI platforms, agentic systems, non‑human identities, and emerging technology capabilities.
  • Define and operationalize audience‑specific controls, access models, and deployment standards for enterprise AI and agentic platforms across employee, engineering, product, and business user populations.
  • Establish measurable controls covering registration, approval, monitoring, auditability, exception management, and policy enforcement.
  • Lead assessment and governance of emerging technology risks including artificial intelligence, autonomous systems, quantum computing, cryptographic advancements, digital assets, and future technology domains.
  • Own the strategy and roadmap for controls spanning registries, runtime enforcement, data protection, output quality, evidence, containment, and program governance.
  • Define control ownership, covered systems, expected behavior, failure response, dependencies, exceptions, and effectiveness measures.
  • Translate security, regulatory, and operational requirements into platform capabilities with clear acceptance criteria.
  • Partner with engineering and architecture teams on identity, authorization, gateways, data access, APIs, telemetry, resilience, and recovery.
  • Establish standardized processes for registering AI systems, authorizing actions, enforcing policy, recording activity, and producing evidence.
  • Prioritize enhancements based on risk, platform reliability, adoption, operational needs, and cost.
  • Use production data, control testing, and business impact measures to guide movement from observation to enforcement, including rollout, rollback, and containment planning.
  • Track control coverage, adoption, bypasses, exceptions, failures, and evidence quality, and communicate decisions and gaps to senior stakeholders and control functions.

Requirements

  • Experience owning product strategy, roadmap, delivery, adoption, and production performance.
  • Technical fluency in APIs, cloud and data architecture, identity and authorization, telemetry, secure software delivery, and AI or machine learning systems.
  • Experience with identity and access management, non‑human identity governance, machine‑to‑machine authentication, delegated authorization models, or enterprise platform security controls.
