Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation is hiring for an Avionics Technician position in Hagerstown, Maryland. As part of SNC's Military Fellowship Program, this role provides on-the-job training for active-duty service members transitioning to civilian careers. The technician will be responsible for performing maintenance, testing, and repair of avionics components in accordance with FCC and FAA regulations.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, technical schematics understanding, and experience with wiring and soldering techniques. Competitive salary and benefits package offered.

Qualifications

• Currently serving on active duty and eligible for the DoD SkillBridge Program.
• Basic understanding of technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and/or publications.
• Familiarity with FCC and FCC GROL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform avionics maintenance per FCC, FAA, and company regulations.
• Install, test, troubleshoot, and repair avionics components.
• Maintain test equipment, tools, and manuals.

Skills

Basic understanding of technical schematics

Experience with wiring repair

Familiarity with avionics installation tooling

Soldering and crimping techniques

Education

High school diploma or GED
