# Avionics Technician II (USI6) (2984)Miramar, FL 33025## OverviewPosition TypeFull TimeJob ShiftAnyCategoryDOT - Safety Sensitive Position## Description**SUMMARY:** The Avionic Technician II must demonstrate high mechanical aptitude and will inspect, service, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul aircraft components while maintaining a safe work environment and following all company and federal rules/ regulations.**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:**Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:* Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, modify and service aircraft avionics/accessories/oxygen equipment.* Perform and document work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations as required* Adhere to Bombardier General Work Requirements for factory, shop and/or hangar positions* Comply with environmental health and safety policies and procedures* Participate in 5-S activities* Perform all assigned tasks in a safe and timely manner* Operate ground support equipment as required* Assist with mechanical / electrical removals and installations* Assist with maintenance at off-site locations as needed* Assist with other maintenance disciplines as needed* Other duties as assigned.## Qualifications**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS*** Technical Degree (Airframe and Powerplant Certification) or equivalent* 4+ year of relevant/technical work experience OR* An additional 3 years of specific work experience in lieu of degree.* The ability to teardown, inspection, parts requisition, assembly, testing, troubleshooting, repair, and overhaul of aircraft accessory/avionic/oxygen units to the component level.* Ability to read and understand electrical engineering drawings* Ability to effectively communicate in both written and verbal form on individual and / or aircraft status* Must be computer literate, and proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, and Excel).**PREFERRED** **REQUIREMENTS*** Airframe and Powerplant Certification or equivalent* 7+ years of specific work experience* Strong knowledge of avionic components* Strong knowledge of accessory components* Strong knowledge of oxygen components* Digital selector panels* FCC General Radio Telephone license**OTHER*** The selected applicant will be subject to a background check and drug testing.
