Job summary

United Airlines is seeking an Avionics Technician to inspect, install, test, troubleshoot and repair electronic aircraft systems. The role supports the Tech Ops team and collaborates with A&P technicians to integrate avionics with other aircraft systems.

Applicants must hold an FAA A&P license, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid US driver's license. The job requires physical ability to access elevated areas and pass a background check/drug screen.

Qualifications

• Requires FAA A&P License and HS diploma or GED.
• FAA licensing and ability to pass background checks are required.
• Experience with avionics test equipment and schematics is essential.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair avionics components using test equipment and schematics.
• Install and calibrate communication, navigation, and flight control systems.
• Inspect to FAA regulations and manufacturer specs; ensure compliance.
• Perform software updates and configuration management on digital systems.
• Collaborate with A&P technicians to integrate avionics with other systems.
• Document maintenance actions, results, and part replacements per procedures.
• Maintain knowledge of current avionics technologies and safety procedures.
