Job summary

Dassault Falcon Jet in Melbourne, Florida, is seeking full-time Avionics Technicians to maintain and install avionics systems and perform complex troubleshooting, testing, and repair.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years' experience as an Avionics Technician in a business jet environment.
  • Graduate from electronics/avionics technical school or equivalent experience.
  • High school graduate or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

  • Operate digital and analog test sets for line troubleshooting of avionics systems.
  • Install and ground/flight test avionics systems per FAA and Dassault standards.
  • Make metal repairs and adjust compass systems as needed.
  • Troubleshoot aircraft systems using wiring diagrams and installation manuals.
  • Present a professional appearance and communicate effectively with customers and co-workers.

Job description

Join Dassault Falcon Jet recently opened state-of-the-art flagship Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility at the Melbourne Orlando International Airport (KMLB) in Melbourne, Florida. Dassault Falcon Jet will serve customers across North and South America and beyond, the complex will accommodate all current Falcon models, (including the new, ultra-long-range Falcon 10X, the largest purpose-built business jet), and will be capable of performing major maintenance and modifications on up to 18 Falcon models.

Dassault Falcon Jet in Melbourne, Florida is seeking full time Avionics Technicians who will be primarily responsible for maintaining and installing avionics systems and performing complex troubleshooting, testing and repair of avionics systems and equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Operates various Digital and Analog Test Sets, Primarily for Line Troubleshooting of Complex Avionics Systems.
  • Make metal repairs such as extracting bad screws, replacing racks, etc.
  • Swings and compensates aircraft compass systems.
  • Must be able to Troubleshoot Aircraft Systems using aircraft wiring diagrams and manufacturers installation manuals.
  • Installs, and performs ground and flight checks of all avionics systems.
  • Performs all work to FAA and Dassault standards.
  • Ensure that you present yourself in a professional manner and appearance in day-to-day contact with customers, guests and co-workers.

Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • Graduate from an electronics/avionics technical school or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as an Avionics Technician in a business jet environment
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with both internal and external customers.
  • Valid and active driver's license required
Additional Information
  • This position requires successful completion of the Melbourne Airport background check process.
Compensation And Benefits

The compensation for this position typically falls between $29 and $43 per hour. This position is eligible for tech leveling to reflect varying levels of experience. This position is eligible for overtime and may be eligible for shift differential or relocation assistance. Note, the final compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of relevant experience, Falcon-specific experience, relevant education/certifications, geographic location, and shift.
