Blue Origin in Merritt Island, Florida is seeking an Avionics Technical Designer to support the design and development of ruggedized electronics enclosures for the New Glenn orbital launch vehicle. The ideal candidate will have a passion for aerospace and strong technical skills, proficient with CreoView and Windchill.
This role plays a crucial part in ensuring safe human spaceflight, involving collaboration with engineering teams to validate design requirements and guide hardware installation processes.

This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single‑configuration, heavy‑lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low‑Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human‑capable.

As an Avionics Technical Designer you will design, analyze, develop, and test ruggedized electronics enclosures (2D and 3D drawings) for sensors. You will also create LRU and sensor installation drawings and specifications, support electronics development and trade studies, create interface definition, specification, control documents, and validate requirements through design, test or inspection. You will provide technical guidance for hardware installation and report on activity schedule and technical status.
