What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Developing electrical harness assemblies for space rated applications and integrate/test higher level electrical assemblies that include microprocessor-based subsystem.
  • Developing and maintaining spacecraft or launch vehicle avionics architectures, electrical block diagrams, schematics, and interface definitions.
  • Defining, allocating, and managing avionics system requirements, including functional, performance, environmental, reliability, and safety requirements.
  • Supporting the design and integration of flight computers, data-handling systems, command and data buses, electrical power systems, guidance and navigation electronics, communications systems, sensors, and actuators.
  • Coordinating electrical and avionics interfaces across systems engineering, software, mechanical, thermal, guidance and control, mission operations, and payload teams.
  • Developing and maintaining Interface Control Documents, wiring diagrams, connector definitions, grounding and bonding schemes, signal databases, and other technical documentation.
  • Performing or supporting power budget, energy balance, signal integrity, electromagnetic compatibility, fault protection, reliability, and redundancy analyses.
  • Supporting component selection, parts derating, radiation tolerance assessments, and electrical design reviews.
  • Developing test plans, procedures, and verification matrices for unit, subsystem, hardware-in-the-loop, system-level, and mission simulations.
  • Supporting avionics integration and test activities, including functional testing, electromagnetic interference and compatibility testing, vibration, shock, thermal vacuum, and end-to-end mission testing.
  • Troubleshooting electrical and avionics anomalies, performing root-cause analysis, and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
  • Preparing and presenting technical materials for system and design reviews, including SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, and FRR.
  • Supporting launch-site activities, mission rehearsals, launch operations, and on-orbit commissioning or mission operations as required.
  • Coordinating with hardware, software, manufacturing, test, quality, safety, and operations teams to ensure successful system delivery.
What Required Skills You’ll Bring:
  • Active Secret security clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree, with additional years of experience able to count in lieu of a degree
  • 2+ years of experience, with additional education, training, and certifications able to count towards total years of experience
