Responsibilities

• Installs, aligns and wires electrical/electronic components (sensors, radios, antennas, lights).
• Performs continuity checks and functional tests of complete aircraft systems.
• Notifies authorities of suspected unairworthy conditions.
• Operates test equipment and conducts functional/operational tests to evaluate performance.

# Avionics Service Technician (TEB)FlexjetNJ, US4 days agoJob descriptionAre you interested in becoming a part of an innovative in-house maintenance facility working on private aircraft?Flexjet, an award-winning organization, is currently looking for an experienced Avionics Service Tech to join our team!This position is located at our Teterboro, NJ location.Starting Pay Rate $ 85,120.00 + (based on experience).DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES• Troubleshoots, repairs, modifies and calibrates aircraft electronic systems and components• Certifies integrated avionic systems and components at intermediate levels utilizing shop avionics support equipment and specialized precision measuring equipment• Analyzes malfunctions and calibrates and performs maintenance on avionics support equipment using calibration standards• Installs, aligns and wires electrical and electronic components such as sensors, radio communications, antennas and lights• Performs continuity checks and functional checkouts of complete aircraft systems• Process Inspection forms and sign name, as technician, after their work is completed• Notify proper authority of any suspected unairworthy conditions found during the performance of their duties• Sets up and operates necessary test equipment• Conducts functional and operational tests to evaluate performance and reliability• Demonstrates excellent communication skills, professionalism, and a positive customer service attitude without compromising quality• Presents a clean and neat work area to customers facility cleanliness and general housekeeping• Performs other duties as requiredREQUIRED SKILLS• High School diploma or equivalent• A&P License• 4 years of related corporate avionics experience• Must be highly proficient in both troubleshooting/service and installation sides of the role• Advanced certification in avionics preferred• Must be flexible with shift work (3rd shift and one day per weekend)• Must be able to stand, sit, and bend for extended periods of time• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.• Valid Drivers License• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite• Ability to pass background check and achieve airport badgeWORK ENVIRONMENTWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.
