Flexjet, an award-winning organization, is currently looking for an experienced Avionics Service Tech to join our team!

This position is located at our Dallas Love Field location

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Troubleshoots, repairs, modifies and calibrates aircraft electronic systems and components
• Certifies integrated avionic systems and components at intermediate levels utilizing shop avionics support equipment and specialized precision measuring equipment
• Analyzes malfunctions and calibrates and performs maintenance on avionics support equipment using calibration standards
• Installs, aligns and wires electrical and electronic components such as sensors, radio communications, antennas and lights
• Performs continuity checks and functional checkouts of complete aircraft systems
• Processes inspection forms and signs as the technician after their work is completed
• Notifies proper authority of any suspected unairworthy conditions found during the performance of duties
• Sets up and operates necessary test equipment; conducts functional and operational tests to evaluate performance and reliability
• Demonstrates excellent communication skills, professionalism, and a positive customer service attitude without compromising quality
• Presents a clean and neat work area to customers, maintains facility cleanliness and general housekeeping
• Performs other duties as required

REQUIRED SKILLS

• High School diploma or equivalent
• A&P License
• 4 years of related corporate avionics experience
• Highly proficient in troubleshooting/service and installation aspects of the role
• Advanced certification in avionics
• Flexibility with shift work (including 3rd shift and one day per weekend)
• Ability to stand, sit, and bend for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
• Valid Driver's License
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to pass background check and obtain airport badge

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing duties, employees are frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. Occasionally, employees may encounter extreme weather conditions. The work environment can be loud.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Employees must meet physical requirements to perform essential functions, including talking, hearing, standing, walking, using hands, reaching, sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally. Vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
