Firefly Aerospace in Texas seeks an Avionics Manufacturing Engineer to help scale in-house production to meet the launch schedule and product roadmap. You will help shape the team and processes for avionics production.

The role demands a hands-on problem-solver with 1–2 years' hardware experience, strong communication skills, and a focus on manufacturability and continuous improvement. On-site position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace engineering.
• 1–2 years of design, manufacturing, and/or production experience with hardware.
• Hands-on approach and continuous improvement mindset.
• Effective communication in technical and non-technical contexts.

Responsibilities

• Support avionics production from design release to delivery and remove blockers.
• Optimize and automate manufacturing and test processes for quality and throughput.
• Oversee introduction of new products and revisions.
• Resolve non-conformances and implement root-cause corrective actions.
• Collaborate with design to optimize manufacturability and standards.
• Plan and execute capital equipment and layout upgrades with stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain planning, production, quality, ERP, and data processes.
• Support integration, test, and launch operations.
