Job summary

Astrion is seeking an Avionics Integration Engineer located at Tinker AFB in Oklahoma, with 20% travel to Hanscom AFB and Seattle. The role requires an active Secret clearance and a strong background in avionics integration for aircraft systems, including life-cycle acquisition and sustainment.

The successful candidate will apply DoD directives, support AFLCMC program needs, and collaborate with engineering, logistics, and program management teams to deliver safe, certified, and effective

Qualifications

• Citizen: Must be a US citizen.
• Clearance: Must have and maintain an active Secret security clearance.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with 3 years DoD experience OR 7 years directly related DoD experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide advisory assistance in developing system concepts and trade studies for proposed designs.
• Apply DoD directives and AFMC/AFLCMC processes to SOF acquisition engineering tasks.
• Support avionics integration for aircraft RD, production, and life-cycle activities.
• Provide systems/avionics engineering in requirements, design, development, test, airworthiness, and sustainment.
• Offer expertise in maintenance systems integration, test, and diagnostics.
• Interface with DoD, government labs, industry, and universities.
