Job summary

Lockheed Martin at Edwards AFB CA is seeking an avionics maintenance professional to support F-35 operations. You will perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, perform modifications, inspections, and wiring repairs as part of a dedicated aircraft maintenance team.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in avionics, experience with reading data instructions, and familiarity with tool control, FOD, and security programs to ensure safety and mission readiness.

Job description

The F-35 is the first tactical aircraft system to have sustainment tools designed in concert with the air vehicle to optimize operations. This focus on sustainment, together with economies of scale realized from a global supply chain for more than 3,000 aircraft, will help control the costs associated with maintaining a fleet of 5th Generation fighters.

This position will be part of the aircraft maintenance team supporting the F-35 at Edwards Airforce Base, CA flight test site. As a team member you will be involved in maintaining all aspects of the aircraft to include F-35 scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, aircraft modification, inspection, wire repair, and troubleshooting.

Basic Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years broad hands-on working experience in a 5 or 7 skill level USAF AFSC, Navy NEC, or Marine MOS avionics discipline or equivalent commercial experience such an FAA instrumentation license or 4 years F-35 specific avionics experience.
• Experience with reading and interpreting Aircraft Technical Data Instructions.
• Experience with Tool Control, FOD, HAZMAT, Training, Quality, and Security programs.
• Experience with Maintenance Information Systems such as Electronic Maintenance Instructions, Aircraft Forms Documentation, Technical Data.

Desired Skills

• Experience with reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints and maintenance instructions.
• Previous flight test or military fighter aircraft maintenance experience in instrumentation and or avionics a plus.

Pay Information

• $35.27 - $55.70
