Job summary

Firefly Aerospace in Cedar Park, TX seeks an Avionics Assembly Technician I for the afternoon shift (2nd shift, 3-11:30pm). The role focuses on assembling avionics harnesses and related flight hardware, with responsibilities spanning design interpretation, assembly, documentation, and QA readiness.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and hands-on tool experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment with flight hardware.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Hands on experience with hand tools to assemble or build a product (electrical, structural, or any type of trade training or experience).
• Excellent concentration and attention to detail with first-rate work efficiency and accuracy.
• Must have the dexterity and ability to perform hands on harness assembly for extended periods of time.
• Basic computer skills with the ability to use e-mail and associated MS office programs.
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and teamwork skills.
• Experience with wiring and hand-held tools.
• Demonstrates basic technical skills in electro-mechanical assembly.
• Ability to adapt quickly to fast-paced, constant changing production environment with flight hardware.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble high quality harnesses and electro-mechanical assemblies from detailed instructions.
• Document all work properly for QA inspection prep.
• Read and interpret design documents, schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Provide feedback to manufacturing engineering on quality and improvements.
• Comply with FOD, tool control, 5-S and safety regulations.
• Self-monitor progress to achieve on-time delivery.
