Job summary

Firefly Aerospace is seeking an Electronics Component Assembler for the 2nd shift (3-11:30pm) at our Cedar Park, TX facility to support avionics harness assembly for space flight hardware.

You will read design documents, assemble with hand tools, document work for QA, and collaborate with the Avionics team. The role requires focus, dexterity, and teamwork, with ITAR compliance and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Hands on experience with hand tools to assemble or build a product (electrical, structural, or any type of trade training or experience).
• Excellent concentration and attention to detail with first-rate work efficiency and accuracy.
• Must have the dexterity and ability to perform hands on harness assembly for extended periods of time.
• Basic computer skills with the ability to use e-mail and associated MS office programs.
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble high quality, high reliability wire harnesses and electro-mechanical assemblies, working from detailed instructions.
• Ensures that all work performed is properly and completely documented in preparation for QA inspection.
• Read and interpret design documents, process controls, schematics, wiring diagrams, specifications, and drawings.
• Provide feedback to manufacturing engineering on quality, discrepancy identification and manufacturing and design improvements.
• Comply with the company FOD program, tool control program, 5-S program, and all safety regulations.
• Self-monitor work progress against area benchmarks and achieve on time delivery of all work.
