Qualifications

  • Reads and interprets maintenance manuals and schematics to identify issues.
  • Must be able to evaluate, troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate units using official documents.
  • Experience with mechanical tools, meters, and gauges is required.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision and follow safety procedures.
  • Must read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

  • Test, troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate units using schematics and maintenance manuals.
  • Inspect and test electronic aircraft components to identify defects.
  • Disassemble, clean, and inspect aircraft components.
  • Repair or replace damaged components and reassemble units.
  • Test electrical systems to ensure proper operation.
  • Report to lead person or supervisor.
  • Ability to solder/desolder electronic components (through-hole and surface mount).

We are looking to hire a dedicated Avionics/Electronics Technician to join our team and support the Electronics Department.

Job Title: Avionics/ElectronicsTechnician

Department: Operations/Production

FSLA Status: Full Time - Non-Exempt

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Test, troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate units using schematics diagrams, Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM), and other documents such as Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, and customer Engineering Orders.
  • Inspect and test Electronic Aircraft Components to identify defects and wear and tear areas.
  • Disassemble, clean, and inspect Aircraft Component.
  • Repair or replace damaged or worn components.
  • Reassemble and test Electrical units to ensure proper operation.
  • Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
  • Needs to be familiar with various Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM) practices and procedures.
  • Reports to the lead person, supervisor, or manager.
  • Must possess the ability to solder and de-solder electronic components (through hole-mounted and surface mounted components).

Requirements and Skills

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Successfully completed technical training by a certifying educational institution or 1-2 years of bench experience in the field or related area.
  • Reads, understands and, interprets directions of appropriate maintenance manuals to identify.
  • Must be able to evaluate, troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate units using official documents.
  • Must have knowledge and experience with mechanical tools, multimeters, micrometers, calipers, measuring indicators, and gauges.
  • Must be able to work with little or no supervision.
  • Ability to work with standardized tools and electric equipment.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
