Job summary

Teledyne FLIR Defense is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade advanced electronic and electro-mechanical systems across airborne, land, maritime, and UAS platforms.

You will serve as a primary customer-facing technical resource, providing onsite support and training at customer locations throughout the United States with travel of 25%–45% and occasional international trips.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or military technical training in Electronics Technology or related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on field service, electronics repair, or electro-mechanical troubleshooting.
• Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools like multimeters and oscilloscopes.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license; passport required for international travel.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade advanced electronic and electro-mechanical systems.
• Provide onsite customer support and technical training at locations across the United States.
• Diagnose system issues and perform functional testing and calibration.
• Travel 25–45% (including occasional international travel) to customer sites.
• Read and interpret technical documentation and schematics to support operations.
