Job summary

A leading aerospace and defense company seeks candidates for servicing, repairing, and modifying avionics equipment. Responsibilities include technical analysis and troubleshooting down to the component level. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience and either a high school diploma or an AA/AS degree. The position is safety sensitive and requires compliance with FAA regulations, including drug and alcohol testing.

Qualifications

Job description

Works under general supervision to service/repair/modifyavionics equipment.

Performsa variety of duties, including but not limited to servicing, operating, maintaining, & repairing avionics equipment.

Conducts technical analysis of products, modifications and enhancements to products in accordance with specific customer requirementsand approved documentation.

Soldering fine pitch and SMD components.

Assesses product needs in accordance with customerspecifications.

Utilizesa goodunderstanding of electronic theoryto effect timely repairs.

Ability to troubleshoot technical problems down to component level.

Demonstrates organizational and time management skills.

Not responsible for sales activities.

May involve lifting 25+ pounds and standing for multiple hours consecutively without sitting.

This position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with FAA Guidelines. Candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing per FAA’s regulation 14 CFR part 120, as well as 49 CFR part 40.

Qualifications

HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.

OR In the absence of a HS diploma, GED or AA/AS degree, 6 years of relevant experience is required.

Must be US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
