Job summary

LEAP is seeking an electrical design engineer to own PCB designs from concept through production, including schematic capture, layout, and design reviews.

You will define electrical architectures including power distribution, grounding, signal integrity, and EMC considerations; support manufacturing and board bring-up while leading debugging and validation for electrical subsystems; collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate with the vehicle architecture.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience delivering PCB designs from concept to production.
  • Experience with vehicle electrical systems and subsystems.

Responsibilities

  • Own PCB designs from concept through production, including schematic capture, layout, and design reviews.
  • Define electrical architectures including power distribution, grounding strategy, signal integrity, and EMC considerations.
  • Support manufacturing and board bring-up while leading debugging and validation efforts for electrical subsystems.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure electrical systems integrate with the vehicle architecture.
  • Deliver complete electrical design packages including schematics, PCB layouts, fabrication drawings, BOMs, and interface control documents.
  • Produce test plans, validation procedures, and debugging reports for subsystems across bench, environmental, and vehicle testing.
  • Maintain clear documentation of design decisions, testing outcomes, and system interfaces to support manufacturing and vehicle integration.

  • Maintain clear documentation of design decisions, testing outcomes, and system interfaces to support reliable manufacturing and vehicle integration.
