Job summary

Greenfield Engineering, a Saalex Company, in Lexington Park, MD, seeks an Engineering Technician II to fabricate, assemble, and test cable and wire harness assemblies for avionics test benches. You will read wiring diagrams, support installation, verification, and maintenance activities, and perform quality checks using GPETE/SPETE equipment.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years in cable or electrical assembly, avionics support, and must read engineering drawings.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required and 2–3 years of experience in cable or electrical assembly, avionics support, or a related field.
• Experience reading wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, assemble, and test cable and wire harness assemblies for avionics test benches.
• Assemble circular connectors and cable assemblies per engineering drawings and documentation.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, and manuals to support production.
• Assist engineers with installation, verification, troubleshooting, and maintenance of cable plant systems.
• Perform continuity checks and troubleshooting using GPETE and SPETE.
• Diagnose and repair wiring and cable assembly issues.
• Maintain documentation and records, and update procedures as required.
• Safely operate tools and lift up to 50 pounds.
