You will report to the Aviation Systems Engineering Manager and help coordinate technical support, installation readiness, integration testing, Government Furnished Equipment and Government Furnished Information questions, and cross-organization issue resolution for Ford Class aircraft carrier Aviation Warfare Systems.

  • Provide technical support and assess risk for technical decisions supporting Ford Class Ship Design Managers and the Aviation Systems Engineering Manager.
  • Lead the Aviation Installation Coordination Team (ICT) and serve as a member of the Warfare Systems Installation Coordination Team.

  • Support an integrated test program through Obligation Work Limiting Date milestones.
  • Maximize early systems assessment and evaluation testing within the C5I test and evaluation program for new construction.
  • Leverage test objectives where possible through coordination with post‑ship‑delivery test program managers.
  • Incorporate best practices from prior programs to support effective installation, integration, and testing approaches.
  • Establish forums for Government teams and the shipbuilder to coordinate resources, products, and services needed to support Warfare System installation and testing within cost and schedule requirements.
  • Assist with timely resolution of Government Furnished Equipment and Government Furnished Information questions identified by the shipbuilder and SUPSHIP Newport News before or during contract execution.
  • Identify and coordinate Government resources needed to support the test program.
