Job summary

RTX is seeking a Software Engineer Intern to join the Networks & Connectivity Engineering division at our Annapolis, MD headquarters. You will participate in the engineering and development of GLOBALink systems used in worldwide aviation communications, covering requirements elicitation, design, development, testing, and formal acceptance in a CMMI level 3 environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date.
Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Responsibilities

Full life‑cycle software development including designing software solutions and deployment.
Contribute to highly technical software engineering teams on upgrades and features.
Analyze decomposition of system requirements into sub‑system software requirements.
Support a large‑scale global aviation network with high availability and security.
Develop software for air‑ground/ground‑ground communication and data processing.
Collaborate with system, network, and field operation teams.
Provide deployment support, field monitoring, and training.
