Job summary

StandardAero, San Antonio, TX, offers a Summer Intern - Supply Chain (Procurement) program to gain hands-on experience in procurement activities and supplier coordination. You will work with seasoned professionals to understand how purchasing decisions support aviation MRO operations and maintain material availability.

Over 10-12 weeks, you’ll develop practical skills in procurement data analysis, reporting, and process improvement within a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a bachelor's degree in a related field (Supply Chain/Procurement).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage information accurately.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and manage multiple assignments.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day procurement activities, including purchase order processing, tracking, and follow-up.
• Support communication and coordination with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure materials and services are available when needed.
• Help monitor open purchase orders, delivery dates, and supplier commitments to identify potential delays or follow-up needs.
• Assist with reviewing purchasing data, maintaining records, and updating procurement reports and tracking tools.
• Support analysis of procurement trends, supplier performance, pricing, and other purchasing metrics.
• Help identify opportunities to improve procurement processes, data accuracy, and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Planning, Inventory, and other cross-functional teams to support business needs.
• Participate in special projects and other assignments based on departmental priorities.
