Job summary

Textron Aviation is hiring for an Assembly Team Member in Independence, KS. You will perform a variety of sheet metal operations to complete major assemblies, using tools like rivet guns and drills, while following precise tolerances and references.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and preferred assembly or technical background. You will work with safety guidelines and participate in continuous improvement initiatives within Textron Aviation’s Kansas team.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read blueprints and perform basic math.
• Assembly experience preferred or related technical background.

Responsibilities

• Perform sheet metal assembly operations with cutting, drilling, riveting, and bucking using predetermined tolerances and tooling.
• Identify reference points and transfer hole patterns, assembling parts without jigs when needed.
• Operate hand tools (rivet gun, drill motor) and follow safety guidelines; contribute to continuous process improvements.
