Job summary

Responsibilities

• Conduct subordinate employees in pre-board security screening of persons, their carry-on and checked baggage/cargo.
• Oversee screening checkpoint(s) and/or baggage screening operations on a day-to-day basis, including equipment, personnel, and scheduling/rotation of staff.
• Participate in development of new policies and procedures, and recommend changes based on observation of work.
• Develop strategic planning initiatives and workforce planning, and prepare reports/documents for TSA and superiors.
• Prepare communications such as morning briefings, checkpoint logs, reports and incident information for LEOs and superiors; serve as first-line supervisor.
