Job summary

Our client is seeking an Aviation Security Officer at Queenstown Airport to protect passengers, staff, and property. The role covers screening, access control, perimeter security, and patrolling the airport to identify threats and ensure regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates demonstrate integrity, situational calm, and strong observation skills. Training will be provided, with shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays at the Queenstown Airport site.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent.
• Valid Aviation Security Officer certification or willingness to obtain upon employment.

Responsibilities

• Screen passengers, baggage, and cargo using security screening equipment.
• Monitor CCTV systems and conduct physical patrols of airport facilities.
• Control access to restricted areas and enforce identification requirements.
• Respond to security incidents, alarms, and emergencies.
• Provide security presence and deter potential threats.
• Report security breaches, suspicious activities, or policy violations.
• Maintain accurate records and logs of security-related activities.
